The astronomical event of September 23rd that is mentioned in Revelation 12:1-9 is a message from God written in the stars. It is not signaling the rapture of the church. It isn’t about the rapture, and it isn’t about the date of the return of the Lord. But it is a prophetic sign in the heavens as Jesus proclaimed, that during the tribulation period, there will be signs and wonders in the heavens and distress and perplexity on the earth.
The book of Hebrews states that God now speaks from the heavens, and He is telling us that not only will the earth be shaken, but the heavens, also. As we get further into a time of tribulation, the message of Rev. 12 presents complex issues, which I cover from what is known in biblical history, antiquity, and present-day science to paint a very vivid picture of the repercussions of such a heavenly event prophesying to mankind from the stars.
I encourage you to listen to Rev. 12, Two Wonders in the Heavens, and become knowledgeable about its many facets, especially concerning the wonder of the red dragon, who throughout biblical history has been called both Satan and a chaos monster wreaking havoc throughout heavenly bodies and the earth. It is important to understand symbolically if Scripture is talking about the person of Satan or, as in many Old Testament verses, which I point out, a comet or other heavenly body that brings destructive forces upon the earth. It is important not to listen to people falsely predicting things that they believe are going to happen.
Our message, in a day where there is a lot of natural destruction, is that we must come to a place where we personally hear the Lord for ourselves, and we choose to live by His leadings, not by what other people think or say.
