Father, we come to you in the Name of Jesus and present to you this nation, the United States of America, and the election of our next president. We take heed to your word to not involve ourselves in the political divide that has greatly harmed our nation. We choose not to ask you to bring forth the election of a president that we desire or believe is right for our nation at this time, but we choose to unite as the Body of Christ in accepting your will for our nation.
We unite in accepting your sovereign will and accepting the person you choose to put in office at this time. Although we will vote according to our conscience and understanding of what we think is best for our nation, yet we acknowledge that our insight and understanding is limited, as men. But you entirely hold the future, and your will is more important to us than ours always.
We pray that all that represents your Kingdom find greater acceptance in America in the days and years that lie ahead. And we pray your will be done in this nation, as it is in Heaven. May your people grow in their understanding that you rule the nations, that you put individuals in power, and you remove them. You even place the basest of persons in power (Daniel 4:17), for all things known and unknown, seen and unseen, serve your eternal plan and purpose, as they always have served you.
And they will today, also, in the 2020 election. We humbly accept your will for our nation at this time and ask you to continue to pour out your blessing on the United States of America. In Jesus’ Name we pray, Amen.
