Although Christmas isn’t a biblical holiday, December 25th is the day in church history that was chosen to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

We celebrate this holy birth because Jesus was born by the will of God into the earth. His birth was announced by an angelic host proclaiming, “Peace on earth, good will toward men.”

At Christmas, we give thanks to God for the gift of His Son to all people, for Jesus was not from this earth. He was born into it from another world. He was sent into our history from Heaven’s world.

Jesus’ birth marks God’s entering human flesh from the outside. Just as our Lord came into human history from the outside, He must come into us from the outside, also. Have you welcomed Him into your being, accepting new birth so Christ may be formed in you so He can work through you His saving graces to comfort all who need the help of God?

Enjoy the season and the day in every way. Join with loved ones and friends, blessing one another with much joy in your heart. A very blessed and merry Christmas to you and all you love!
